Alpha Channels

In Photoshop, open an image like a logo with solid, bold colours. select the colour you want to keep and in the channels pallet, click “save selection as channel” at the bottom of the window. in the RGB version, delete the image as it is the same as the colour you want to keep. save this image as a TIFF and import it to After Effests. It will look like a logo and will be crisp and clear.
